Hello world! Welcome to my site that features an updated portfolio of all my work at UNC, my resume, and a little about me and my ambitions for life.

Madeline Coleman is a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a sports writer for the Daily Tar Heel. She is a business journalism and public policy double major, and she plans to go to law school after undergraduate.

After graduating with her undergraduate degree, Madeline plans to attend law school with the goal to become a policy/constitutional lawyer. Eventually, she hopes to become a bill writer, speech writer, or politician, specifically a senator or representative. During retirement, Madeline plans to return back to her other passion — writing. Her dream since she was a child was to be the change she wants to see in the world.

While this may be a cliche, it is a phrase Madeline holds close to her heart. This world is broken, filled with heartbreak and sorrow. She wants to bring relief and equality to these people through her talents, whether that be done through her writing or through lawmaking. Madeline wants to remind people that there is still love, hope and joy in this world, no matter what the media or our political leaders may say. Her main career goal is to lead with a servant’s heart and renew people’s faith in humanity and the world by helping those around me. At the end of the day, we only have each other, and she wants to remind those that she comes in contact with that they are loved, valued, and worthy — no matter what society says.

Madeline is a sports enthusiast, specifically soccer and football. She prefers the college realm rather than professional sports; however, if one of her favorite athletes goes pro, you can bet that she’ll follow them until the end of their career. Her all time favorite athletes that got her interested in sports include Tim Tebow, Steve Spurrier, Justin Jackson, Alex Morgan, Julie Johnston, and countless UF and UNC football players.

Outside of sports, she is a political junkie. During her free time outside of sports, Madeline reads different bills going through Congress, biographies about past political figures, and different articles across the internet. Some of her favorite political figures are George W. and H.W. Bush, Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan, and Dana Perino.
